Should Barksdale Opt Out of County Zoning?
Special Hearing 5:00 – 7:00p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024
In accordance with the Open Meeting requirements, you are hereby notified that the Town of Barksdale will hold a Public Hearing from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday February 20, 2024 to address the concerns regarding the Bayfield County Zoning and the Town’s options of staying with the county zoning or trying to get out of county zoning. The overall purpose of zoning is to protect and promote the health, safety, convenience, and general welfare of county residents while enhancing the physical and natural environment.
I am planning on opposing this matter and will vote “No” on the April 2, 2024 ballot. My reasons are found in this letter to the editor for the Ashland Daily Press.
